1. Drink More Water– Drinking more water is one of the simplest things you can do to help yourself feel better! For those of you who aren’t a fan of water, try adding one of your favorite fruits to flavor it, or buy cans of seltzer water (the ones without sugar, just flavoring) instead. It also helps to buy a large water bottle to help keep track of how much you’ve been drinking!
2. Take the Stairs– If a building is 3 stories or under, just always make it a habit to take the stairs! I know it’s tempting to take the elevator, but this simple step will help you get your daily steps in, as well as help start to build up your endurance!
3. Park Farther Away– This is another easy change to make. Instead of driving around waiting for the closest parking place to open up, find the open spots farther away. You’ll find yourself saving a lot of time parking, as well as getting some extra steps in everyday!
4. Start Taking Walks Everyday– This is a great habit to get into. If you are currently not exercising at all, start with just a few minutes a day. Work your way up to five minutes, and then 10min, and then 15! Remember, the little things add up. Before you know it, you’ll be walking 30min a day, and getting in the cardio you need!
5. Start to Write Things Down- Now this is going to be the hardest step of all, and it is still very simple once you get into the habit of it. This is to start recording things! It doesn’t have to be super detailed at first, just start writing down what you are eating each day, and what exercise you are getting in. This will make it super easy to keep track of your progress, and will also make it easier to take further steps nutrition wise!
